The Truth about Second Hand Vapor

As e-cigarettes are becoming subject to bans in more and more cities, researchers are starting to analyze the effect of secondhand vapor.

A recent study measured the particle concentration of e-cigarettes in a controlled set of environments and found that the e-liquid vapor evaporated almost immediately and the air returned to its original level within seconds. In other words, the vapor disappears so quickly that second-hand vapor inhalation would be nearly impossible.

Another study predicted that second-hand vapor exposures would be less than 1% of the threshold limit value that is placed on workplace air quality.

This evidence is just one of the reasons e-cig users are opposing banning regulations, similar to those placed on regular cigarettes.
